? STANDARD CHINESE LANGUAGE MEANINGS

Learn Chinese Language implies the study of standard Chinese language which is formally called "学普通话 (xué pǔ tōng huà)" or "学标准中文 (xué biāo zhǔn zhōng wén)" in China, or an unformal word of Mandarin learning.

In some cases, you may hear of learning Hanyu. Literally speaking, Hanyu means the languages spoken by the ethnic Han Chinese majority in China, which includes the Standard Hanyu and various Chinese dialects.
